Summary:

They are seeking an experienced Retail Café Manager for their Atlanta location to oversee the daily operations of The Coffee Counter (TCC) and ensure a remarkable guest experience. This position requires a high level of responsibility in managing team members, maintaining operational excellence, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and working closely with Thrive Farmers' Accounting and National Accounts teams to meet business and financial goals. You’ll also help execute strategic initiatives and special projects in partnership with Thrive Farmers International.

 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Daily Operations :

  • Uphold company policies, health and safety standards, and a positive culture.

  • Oversee all daily cafe operations with a strong focus on customer service and team engagement.

  • Hire, onboard, schedule, and manage a team of cafe staff, ensuring smooth shift coverage and execution.

  • Maintain and update store documentation, including training manuals, SOPs, cleaning schedules, and workflows.

  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and vendor repairs as needed.

Financial & Inventory Management:

  • Partner with the Accounting Team to manage monthly expenses, submit invoices, and track labor hours.

  • Monitor and reconcile inventory, input daily prep and ordering data, and place supply orders to avoid shortages.

  • Analyze sales and waste metrics to inform ordering, pricing, and menu decisions.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure the cafe maintains a health inspection score of 95 or above.

  • Maintain ServSafe Manager certification, manage the cafe’s annual food permit, and ensure compliance with food safety and OSHA regulations.

  • Monitor for FDA product recalls and ensure all safety protocols are met.

Vendor & Partnership Management:

  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor performance and invoicing.

  • Support campus event partnerships and respond promptly to event-related requests.

Strategic Projects & Continuous Improvement:

  • Collaborate with Thrive’s leadership and Innovation Teams on store initiatives, new product testing, and corporate events.

  • Analyze sales data (via Square POS) and provide weekly KPI reports and recommendations for menu and pricing strategies.

  • Lead monthly team engagement activities to support retention and morale.

  • Manage digital and in-store marketing assets, including menu updates and seasonal promotions.

  • Proactively propose initiatives to drive sales, engagement, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

• College degree and up to 3 years of relevant work experience.

• Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or customer experience preferred.

• High level of integrity, character, and ownership.
