Job Description

About the Family:  

A busy, active family in Destin, FL is looking for a responsible and experienced nanny to join their household team. With three children (ages 9, 5, and 3) and a dad who travels often, they need a second set of hands to support mom—especially in the evenings and on weekends. The family loves being outdoors, spending time on the water, and taking fun family trips. They’re looking for someone confident, nurturing, and capable of stepping in without needing much direction—ideally someone mature, seasoned, and flexible who sees this as more than just a job. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assist with school pickups (2:30 PM), after-school routines, and dinner 
• Support with bath and bedtime 
• Help on weekends with activities, errands, or outings (e.g., boating, beach time, pool days) 
• Occasionally travel with the family or provide overnight care 
• Be a reliable support system and parter to mom, helping divide and conquer care tasks 
• Maintain clear communication and take initiative in a dynamic home environment 

Qualifications: 

• Substantial experience working with children of multiple ages 
• Comfortable with flexible scheduling, weekends, and occasional travel or overnights 
• Takes initiative, confident and responsible without micromanagement 
• Preferably someone with significant life experience in childcare 
• Non-smoker Comfortable around pets and able to contribute to a pet-friendly household (family has an older dog) 
• Strong alignment with the family’s active, adventurous lifestyle 
• Live-in option available for the right candidate (must not bring own pet) 

Additional Information:  

• Rate: $20/hr, negotiable depending on experience 
• Start date: ASAP 
• Family owns an aircraft and takes frequent vacations—nanny may be asked to join 
• Past experiences have made the family highly selective—professionalism and maturity are key 
• Open to both live-in and live-out candidates

Schedule Notes:  

• Weekdays: 2:30 PM – ~8:00 PM 
• Evening and weekend help needed to join the family on outdoor fun (boat, beach, pool, trips, etc.) 
• Saturday & Sunday are typically the highest-need days 
• Occasional overnights and travel 
• Flexible schedule and readiness for “adventuresâ€� a plus 
• Year Round Need (school year & summer) 
• Long Term Position
