*Summary*
Seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatrist to provide high-quality mental health care. This individual will deliver psychiatric assessments, medications, and monitoring of client functioning
*Responsibilities*
* Sees clients, makes diagnoses; prescribes medication, and monitors clients’ use of and response to medication.
* Consults with assigned primary staff individually or in staff groups by collecting and conveying information about the clients.

* Monitors clients’ functioning through regular contacts or through reports by primary staff and facilitates/participates in annual review of service plans and goals.
* Documents written diagnoses based on the current diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders.
* Provides clinical information for disability determination, insurance companies, and other entities or employers.
* Availability by phone for consultation regarding psychiatric emergencies of clients.
* Ensures appropriate documentation of all the above, including a complete client history, mental status, assessment of danger to self or others, functional impairments, and strengths.
* Ensures that Agency practices meet the highest standards of all funding and accrediting bodies for service delivery and documentation.
* Demonstrates awareness of, follows all safety policies and procedures, and adheres to all recommended safe work practices. Also contributes to the control of hazards in specified areas of responsibility.
* Perfoms other duties or special projects as assigned.
*Requirements*
* Medical degree with board certification in Psychiatry.
* Valid DEA license, evidence of appropriate renewals for prescription writing authority, and evidence of required Continuing Medical Education credit in accordance with the State of Ohio Medical guidelines.
* Valid state medical license to practice psychiatry in Ohio.
* Must have practiced psychiatry for a minimum of two years.
* Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
* Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
* Proficient in diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: .2 – .8 per week
