The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Tax will be Postman’s leader and expert for all tax matters. You will serve as a trusted advisor on tax filings, strategies, new product considerations, and compliance. You will oversee tax research, work with external advisors, and manage a broad range of tax issues, reporting to the Controller and collaborating with HR, Legal, Sales, and Engineering teams. We seek someone experienced in high-growth environments who is eager to make an impact.

Responsibilities

1. Lead quarterly and annual tax provisions and manage tax filings at federal, international, state, and local levels.
2. Manage tax projects such as R&D tax credits, 174, and 382 analyses.
3. Oversee U.S. international tax compliance including GILTI, BEAT, FDII, and other taxes.
4. Lead transfer pricing planning and compliance, including local country reporting.
5. Collaborate on tax considerations for new products and jurisdictions, advising on entering new markets.
6. Coordinate with external tax advisors for global income tax provision and U.S. tax compliance.
7. Develop and implement tax planning strategies, including international structuring and M&A considerations.
8. Forecast income taxes and analyze cash tax payments.
9. Manage income tax audits and respond to tax authority notices.
10. Lead special projects and monitor legislation affecting taxes.
11. Drive process improvements and system automation for tax functions.
12. Assist in developing accounting policies and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting, MS in Tax, or CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of income tax compliance and financial reporting experience, preferably in public accounting or corporate tax.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. income tax, ASC 740, SEC standards, and industry experience.
• Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Proactive, critical thinker with problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify process improvements and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary ranges from $165,000 to $225,000, plus equity. Actual pay depends on skills and experience. Benefits include medical coverage, flexible PTO, wellness reimbursement, lunch stipend, and more. We support work-life balance with a hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence 3 days a week in specified locations.
