About the Role:

This role involves serving as a medical expert responsible for developing clinical research strategies and independently directing Phase 1-3 clinical studies in the Neuropsychiatry area. The role includes working with cross-functional teams, creating and executing development plans, and helping navigate the complex drug development landscape to ultimately obtain product approvals. The candidate will work closely with Research and Preclinical Development to develop biomarkers for early clinical evaluation.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

• Develop clinical development strategies and design studies for assigned programs, including protocol writing and data interpretation. Engage with external experts as needed.
• Represent Medical/Clinical on the Program Team, providing medical input and supporting development plans.
• Lead medical aspects of clinical trial execution, including protocol development and investigator selection.
• Conduct medical assessments and manage safety evaluations during trials.
• Oversee clinical trials in accordance with SOPs, GCP, and regulations.
• Manage resource planning, budgeting, and team development.
• Present study results internally and externally, and collaborate with Medical Affairs and external leaders.
• Interface with Research, Product Development, and Business Development for new opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• MD or DO (or equivalent) with 4+ years of clinical experience, including drug development experience.
• Residency training and board certification preferred.
• Recognized expertise in a relevant discipline.
• Deep knowledge of drug development, regulatory processes, and translational medicine.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience working with regulatory agencies and managing clinical teams and external vendors.

The estimated annual base salary range is $290,300.00-$420,250.00, with additional bonuses, equity, and benefits including retirement plans, paid leave, and health coverage.
