Telecom Engineer, Journeyman

CACI is seeking an experienced Telecom Engineer (Journeyman level) to support U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award of the USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) contract.

Responsibilities:

• Applies expertise to complex work assignments related to USSOUTHCOM's Executive Communications Services (ECS), including remote communications equipment, mobile deployable network systems, and SATCOM systems in support of Command-and-Control Interoperability Program (C2IP) services, base communication (BASECOM) services, and communication services
• Manages and supports base telecommunication services, coordinating with third-party providers to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Monitors, supports, and troubleshoots USSOUTHCOM's network and server systems, collaborating with senior engineers and subject matter experts as needed
• Assists in resolving mid-level to advanced technical issues, particularly in secure and non-secure voice services across DAO SOUTHCOM
• Participates in project planning and execution for complex IT initiatives, including integration of new technologies into DAO SOUTHCOM networks
• Provides field engineer services at the Tier 3 level for current and future network environments
• Contributes to the lifecycle management of IT applications, from requirements gathering to retirement
• Demonstrates flexibility to work during non-standard hours and in various locations, including austere environments, as required for executive, mission or warfighter support
• Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments
• Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks
• Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems

Qualifications:

• US Citizen with active secret level clearance
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field
• One or more certifications: Telecommunications (TCM), Telecommunications Master Engineer, iNARTE Telecommunications Engineer, Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), Internet Protocol Engineering Professional (IPEP), Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist (CTNS), or Certified IP Telecom Network Specialist
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments while supporting multiple projects
• Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with change management tools and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow)

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
